Lineator™ wide spectrum filters are state of the art electromagnetic filters for use with 6 pulse AC and DC variable speed drives.
The patented product is a multi-limbed reactor with small capacitor bank which reduces the AC or DC 6 pulse drive ‘total harmonic current distortion’ (ITHD) to meet the requirements of IEEE 519 (1992), the UK’s ER G/5/4 (2001) and other harmonic recommendations (i.e. to around 5-6% ITHD).
In addition, compared to 12 pulse and 18 pulse drives, a Lineator-6 pulse drive combination is 2-3% more efficient overall, reducing running costs and, unlike multi-pulse drives, Lineator™ is largely unaffected by voltage imbalance and/or pre-existing voltage distortion and is fully compatible with all types of generators.
The current range extends from 3kW (4HP) to over 1500kW (2000HP) in voltages from 380V up to 690V, 50hz or 60hz. Open chassis (IP00) and NEMA3R (IP23) configurations are available.
Lineator™ can be used with both single drives and multiple drives.
A version for use with 12 pulse drives, Lineator 12/24™, smaller than standard units, is very competitive is also available.
