These include banks, financial institutions, office complexes, shopping malls, call centres, data centres and other facilities including hospitals and airports which utilise large numbers of computers, printers, fluorescent lighting, UPS systems and variable speed drives for HVAC and other applications.
In addition to harmonic voltage distortion these facilities are prone to neutral conductor overloading (up to almost twice phase current) and associated power quality problems due to addition of triplen harmonics in neutral conductor by multiple single phase loads.
